Williams staff members first became involved with the cause when one their own colleagues was diagnosed with breast cancer and survived through a double mastectomy. Now, for the seventh year in a row, the women of Williams are raising money for the cause and will have a team walking in the Sept. 29 “Making Strides” event.
“We’ve raised more than $3,300 so far, but more money is coming in,” said Claudia Daniels, Williams Executive Assistant to the General Manager.
And to keep the pink love coming, Williams Chevrolet is hosting three days to test drive for charity:
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 — Test drive any new Chevy model and Williams Chevrolet and Williams will donate $10 to our local “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” organization. Be sure to mention “Test Drive for Making Strides.”
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6 — Test drive any new Chevy model and Chevrolet will donate $10 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation. This event includes giveaways and issue education. Plus, enjoy free lunch!
At any of the test drive for charity events, those who would like to match Williams Chevy’s $10 donation is welcome, but it’s certainly not a formal request.
As part of our “Driving for the Cure” campaign, we’ve selected three hometown heroes, breast cancer survivors, who will share their stories to raise awareness and rally test drivers. In addition, we’ve “tarted up” a white Chevy Spark and have made it our official “Making Strides” car. It’s outside our showroom right now. It will be parked next to the stage at the walk event Saturday morning. And, if it’s not sold by then, the “Making Strides” car will also be on display at each of our test drive events.
